Questions before you start
How many resumes can I keep?
Keep up to 10 resumes, with up to 10 versions per resume. Daily generation and refinement limits also apply.
Are my resumes private?
Your resumes are private to your account. Download links expire after 10 minutes. You can delete a resume and the files made for it from your account.
Can I start without an existing resume?
Yes. Upload a PDF or Word file, paste your experience, or start by answering questions. You can also transcribe a supported photo or scanned resume, review the text, and correct it before continuing.
Do you write for companies outside the library?
Yes. Choose a company from the catalog or type another employer’s name. Add the role and job posting so the resume can focus on relevant experience. When company research is unavailable, the resume follows the posting and general resume guidance.
Do you add experience or numbers I never gave you?
Resume Studio checks employers, titles, dates, degrees, and numbers against your source material. When detail is missing, coach notes can ask you for it. Always review the final document before sending it.
Are the templates designed for applicant tracking systems?
The templates use a single column of real text and standard section headings. Keyword coverage shows terms from the posting that you cover and terms you might add if they fit your experience. No tool can guarantee an interview or a screening result.
Are cover letters and LinkedIn writing included?
Yes, with Star Interview Pro. Once your resume is written, create a matching cover letter or a LinkedIn headline and About section from the result page. Writing and rewriting these documents counts toward your refinement allowance.
Can I edit and download my resume?
Yes. Edit the content yourself, ask for changes in plain words, and keep versions. Download the resume and cover letter as PDF or Word files. Copy your LinkedIn text from the result page.
