Forward Deployed Engineering -- Palantir's Defining Engineering Model

This module explores the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) and Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE) model that Palantir pioneered and that defines its engineering culture. Candidates will learn why Palantir embeds engineers directly with customers, how the three core role types (Deltas, Echos, Devs) work together, and what this means for daily work and interview expectations. Understanding this model is critical because it shapes every behavioral question Palantir asks.
