Values and Competencies — The Hiring Rubric

Freddie Mac publishes its hiring rubric openly: four values and five competencies. Behavioral interview questions are explicitly designed to assess against this rubric. This module decodes each value and competency in plain English, walks through Sonu Mittal's "10 Leadership Principles" as a senior leadership artifact candidates should reference, and shows how to map your prepared stories to specific values. Candidates who can name and connect to the values consistently outperform those who don't.
