Engineering Culture at Comcast — Octave, AI, and the Philadelphia Tech Center

Comcast doesn't have a public engineering blog the way Netflix or Stripe does, which means the engineering culture is harder to read from outside. But the company has built genuinely interesting platforms — the X1 voice remote, Comcast Octave's network ML, Smart Network Platform, the Applied AI & Discovery team, the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia. This module synthesizes what's known about engineering culture, the kinds of problems engineers solve, and how to position yourself as an engineer who'd thrive there.
